Opt-out guide
How to opt out of Intelius and remove your name
Intelius removals go through the shared PeopleConnect Suppression Center, which also covers TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, and US Search. It asks for your date of birth in addition to email, so it needs slightly more identifying info than most brokers - but one request can cover the sibling brands.
Wondering whether Intelius is even legitimate first? Read our honest Intelius check for what it is, what regulators have said about it, and what it exposes.
What Intelius exposes
- Full name, age, and date of birth
- Current and past addresses
- Phone numbers and email addresses
- Relatives and associates
- Public-record details and social profiles
Step-by-step removal

- 4
Confirm your identity
Enter your date of birth, check the verification box, and click Continue to locate your records.
- 5
Select records and suppress
Find the records that match you, set Desired Behavior to Suppressed, and click Save to finalize the opt-out.
Good to know
- Runs through the shared PeopleConnect portal, which also covers TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, and US Search.
- Requires date of birth in addition to email - more identifying info than most brokers.
- If you cannot access the email on file, email privacy@peopleconnect.us to verify another way.
Opting out only removes the records Intelius currently holds; data can reappear within about six months as it scrapes new public records, so re-check and re-suppress periodically.
