RedactZero is free to use. Here is exactly how the site makes money, in plain language, as required by the FTC's endorsement guidelines (16 CFR Part 255) - and because you deserve to know.

The short version

When we recommend paid data-removal services (such as Optery, DeleteMe, Incogni, or Aura), some of those links are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up, the service pays us a commission. You pay nothing extra - the price is the same either way.

What this does not change

• Your scan results. The scan reports what public sources return. Findings are never added, inflated, or dramatized to push you toward a paid service.
• The free path. Every recommendation of a paid service appears alongside our free do-it-yourself opt-out guides. You can always fix everything we find without paying anyone.
• Rankings. When we order or compare services, the order reflects our judgment of fit and value, not commission rates.

How you will know

Any page containing affiliate links carries a visible disclosure notice near those links. If a page has no notice, it has no affiliate links.

What we refuse to do

• No fabricated reviews, ratings, or testimonials
• No "as seen in" badges we didn't earn
• No fake urgency or invented threat statistics
• No hidden sponsorships - if money changed hands, we say so
