Is PeopleFinders a scam?
No. It provides the reports it sells and honours removal requests without charge. As with any subscription service, read the checkout terms before buying so a trial does not quietly renew - but that is a billing caution, not an accusation of fraud.

In September 2023 the FTC penalised TruthFinder and Instant Checkmate $5.8 million for operating as consumer reporting agencies while marketing background reports for employment and tenant screening - the label a site gives itself does not decide the question.
